Mother Spends 11 Hours Rescuing Baby Elephant Stuck in Well
This is why you always knock first.
Seychelles is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean that is home to some pretty massive tortoises. Explorer Paul Rose got to see one up close when he visited the tiny republic, but not for the reason that he expected. He accidentally stumbled upon two tortoises who were mating, and when the male realized that his time alone with his lady friend was being interrupted, he wasn’t too pleased. What ensued is the slowest and most hilarious chase I’ve ever seen!
I know that most people could easily outrun this massive reptile if they wanted to, but even so, I’m not sure I’d want to be staring down the shell of an angry animal this size! These creatures can grow big enough for other large animals to ride, but I can’t imagine that this guy would allow anything to sit on him while he was in this state of rage. What’s even crazier about this guy’s huge size is that, at one point, he was as small as this baby tortoise who’s overwhelmed by the idea of eating an entire bean sprout! Thank goodness they can’t move very fast, or Paul would have been history.
Don’t worry — after Paul somehow managed to escape the speedy tortoise’s wrath, the reptile appears to have returned to his girlfriend to finish what he started. Hopefully there will soon be lots of brand new baby tortoises roaming Seychelles!

Is there anything more relaxing and enjoyable than a day on the banks of an old, slow-moving river, holding your fishing pole, with your line in the water? There are plenty of reasons that people love fishing so much. Many use it as a source of fresh food. Some use it as a relaxing getaway. And some folks even consider it a great time to bond with family while everyone participates.
The fisherman in this video, however, may just have to rethink the whole relaxation element of his day because what he’s about to experience is surprising, shocking, and insanely funny.
We’ve seen plenty of videos where fisherman get the surprises of their lives. Just when you think you’ve caught an award winning fish, a sea lion comes along and snatches it out of your hands as you’re posing for a picture. We’ve even seen massive sharks leap out of the water to spoil a fisherman’s day.
Well, you can add yet another example to your running list of fisherman being foiled by other animals. In the video below, which really gets good around the 0:20 mark, a fisherman reels in what appears to be a pretty good sized fish, but as he turns his pole to bring the catch over to a lakeside table, a cat comes out of nowhere to snatch the fish right off the fisherman’s pole!
You can tell that the man is completely surprised by the ninja cat because he even falls over as he tries to shoo the cat away. It’s not use though as the cat grabs the fish from the line and runs off with it in its mouth.
I’ve never seen anything like this before (that cat was fast and where did it even come from?), but it’s one of the funniest things ever. Sure, he may have had a nice fish, but now he’s got a fish story that he’ll be able to tell for the rest of his life.

Everybody loves cute baby animals, but they become all the cuter when they’re miniature. (Don’t even get me started on Pedro, the tiny pony.) The next video is guaranteed to brighten your day and make you squeal with joy!
Meet Truffles. This adorable micropig was rescued and adopted into a loving forever home. Once he realizes he’s home and getting a second chance at life, this little guy shows complete joy and compassion from being rescued.
Now in a safe haven, Truffles is so excited. The tiny pig runs around the house, making his owners laugh out loud. You can hear his little hooves tap against the floor as he romps around.
He even has a few new friends: the family’s cat and dog. They aren’t exactly sure what to make of the tiny piglet, but he doesn’t have a care in the world. Letting a piggy loose in your home might not seem like the best idea, but this adorable little guy might be an exception to the rule.
This little cutie-pie’s playing proves just how happy he is to finally be safe. We dare you to get through this video without giggling.
Enjoy! And please SHARE this tiny micropig with everyone you know.
I’m not sure when keeping chipmunks as pets became an actual thing that people do, but judging by the video below, it is absolutely real. The diminutive little critters are definitely cute, but they’re also probably much smarter than we give them credit for.
We already know, from previous videos that we’ve shared, that chipmunks have a very strong motherly instinct, have the strength and quickness to defend themselves when needed, and have what are probably the cutest, chubbiest cheeks (perfect for packing away peanuts) in the entire animal kingdom.
But I had no idea that chipmunks also had their very own special morning routines. And I certainly didn’t know that, during those morning routines, they become the most adorable things I’ve ever seen in my whole entire life.
In the video below, you’ll get to meet Bikke the Chip, a pet chipmunk that does something so unorthodox that its owner had to bring out the camera and film it just so people would believe him!
As the camera rolls, Bikke begins its morning routine by stretching his jaw and cheeks, sniffing his blanket, and crawling towards the camera. He then goes into a lengthier stretching routine that involves pulling itself across the bed, stretching out flat as a pancake, and opening its chubby cheeks as wide as it possibly can.
The entire 90-seconds clip is some of the cutest video footage you’ll ever see, but my heart nearly exploded when I got to around :35 and Bikke started yawning.
This might just be the coolest chipmunk ever and, after seeing this, I think I might want to have about fifty chipmunks as pets. Okay, maybe just one, but can you imagine how cute fifty pet chipmunks would be?

If you’re a dog lover like me, then you will be very happy when you watch this video.
In Early January, twenty-three dogs rescued by Humane Society International from a dog meat farm in Seoul, Korea, arrived in Washington, DC. HSI worked with the farmer to remove the dogs from miserable conditions of a dilapidated facility, and close it for food (which is the real big win in this case). As part of the plan, HSI secured an agreement with the farmer that he will stop raising dogs for food and move permanently onto growing crops and plants as a more humane way to make a living.
Sadly, the practice of selling dogs for meat is still commonplace in many parts around the world, but as more organizations like the HSI fight for the rights of animals, more dogs can be saved. HSI is an international affiliate of The Humane Society of the United States and is working on reducing the dog meat trade in Asia, including South Korea. We are hopeful that more South Korean dog meat farmers transition out of this cruel and evil business.
Please help spread this news to other animal lovers so that we can raise awareness about this cause. No dog deserves to die or be used as meat!
Didja is one of the most talented cats out there in the world today. She has garnered a huge following of over 92,000 YouTube subscribers, and several of her videos have surpassed the million-view mark. The young cat can already do incredible tricks: she can use a human toilet, she can sit, she can roll over, she’s comfortable on a leash, and her newest learned talent is probably the craziest — she can now skateboard!
Didja’s loving owner and trainer Robert Dollwet has specialized in training animals for the past 30 years, and Didja is certainly his most amazing masterpiece.
In this newest video of Didja, we can see her doing some crazy tricks. She ollies, she goes uphill and downhill, and she even jumps off the board to jump over an obstacle while the skateboard is in motion!
While there are a few clever editing tricks used in the video, Didja is still clearly a very impressive cat — she certainly has more balance than I do on one of those things!
Please SHARE if you think Didja is a GREAT cat!
When you’re near any body of water, you never really know what might be lurking beneath. And, not to scare you, but this next terrifying video proves just that.
Porsche Indrisie was at a rockpool in Yallingup, a town in Western Australia, filming a crab as it edged closer and closer toward the water. Then…BAM! An octopus unexpectedly sprung from the shallow water and wrapped itself around the crustacean. The octopus grabbed the crab and dragged it back to the depths of the sea to eat it. How creepy! Who even knew an octopus could do this?!
“The best and [most] unexpected video I’ve ever captured!” Indrisie wrote on YouTube. “I don’t know why I chose to film this crab, but thought I would try and get closer to it, but something else beat me to it.”
The video gets a little shaky when the octopus leaps out of the water, but let’s be honest, that was slightly terrifying. Have you ever seen anything like this?!
If this video shocked you, please SHARE it with everyone you know.
What is cuter than cute? Adorability is in the eye of the beholder, so it depends on your definition. It can be puppies attempting to swim for the first time. It can be a meerkat trying desperately to fight off a case of the sleepies. Or, if you have a darker soul, maybe you prefer a baby bat wrapped snuggly in a blanket like a burrito full of “aw!”
Yet, everyone can agree snow is not cute. First off, it’s cold. Secondly, it’s cold. And third of all, it’s not puppies.
But puppies can play in snow! Ever see a husky get a bunch of pep in its step when winter rolls around? Just watching a furry dog happily frolic in the snow is enough to melt any icy heart into a warm puddle of love goo.
Now just imagine the irrefutable cuteness of a red panda wiggling, skipping through, and doing somersaults in the snow. It’s cute enough to be a brand of cute everyone can get behind — the great cute equalizer.
Don’t believe something can be that precious? Watch the video below and keep the audio on because the noises that comes out of this critter’s mouth just adds to its appeal.
Please SHARE this with everyone you know and give a heartwarming gift on a cold winter day.
Gotcha, an 11-year-old Moluccan Cockatoo, has quickly become a viral sensation. From dancing to “Wild Thing” to having a funny argument with Mom, this crazy bird certainly has a mind of his own.
In his latest video, Gotcha is seen frantically running around the house and saying a bunch of gibberish. He runs in and out of the various rooms, all while his owner films his hilarious antics.
To anyone concerned that this is some sort of cry for help, his owner Katie Vannoy says this is just a typical day for her pet and that there is no need to worry.
“This is not a behavior due to stress,” she writes in the video’s caption. “He is a wild, energetic bird and just loves to run on the floor and be loud.”
There are some parrot behaviors that are absolutely mystifying to people who are new to birds, but are actually quite normal. Making noise is instinctual for birds, as it’s how they communicate. And, just like children, most birds like to run around and get rowdy during playtime!
Please SHARE this hilarious bird with everyone you know.
On this fateful day, a wild stallion named Champ and his family graze along the bank of the Salt River in Arizona’s Tonto National Forest. Minutes later, a second band of wild horses arrives at the opposite bank.
It doesn’t take long for Champ and his family to become interested in their new neighbors across the way. Intrigued, a few begin to cross the river.
Suddenly, the strong current forces the filly of the group to be swept downstream. For a moment, she even goes under.
Champ tries to grab the filly by the side of the neck, but is unable. The filly breaks from the group, struggling in the water.
Champ breaks from the group to go after her. He grabs her by the neck and gently helps her back to the band. He doesn’t let go until he knows she’s safe.
Shaken, the filly heads to her mother. With everything under control, Champ proceeds to cross the river and greets the stallions across the bank like they’re old friends.
Upon his return, Champ greets his family. The video says, “Like a scripted ending, to a fairytale story, three birds land on Champ and his mare.”
Wild horses are truly incredible, magnificent creatures. If you agree, please SHARE this heroic video with your friends on Facebook!
“Some pig.” “Terrific.” “Radiant.” “Humble.”
Those are the words Charlotte the spider writes in her web to describe Wilbur the pig in E.B. White’s Charlotte’s Web, and I think Charlotte might say the same things about Amy the pig in the video below.
Amy has been taking obedience training classes with a bunch of dogs. No one was sure if it would be possible to train a pig in the same way, but the trainer took the risk.
Despite being the class’s underdog — underpig, I mean — she has risen to the occasion. Her trainer says that she’s actually one of the best pupils in the class.
Apparently, when Amy started, the other dogs looked at her like, “What kind of dog are you?” But now, Amy’s teaching these old dogs some new tricks.
I honestly didn’t know pigs were this smart! I’m not surprised that it’s motivated by food, but whatever works. I mean, getting my dog to learn how to sit was an achievement, let alone completing obstacle courses.
Please SHARE if you think any animal can be trained with the right amount of patience and attention.
Riding a horse has always been on the top of my “bucket list.” The wind in your hair, the landscape rushing by, and the beautiful animal charging forward beneath you… It seems like a stunning experience!
That’s why this video is so amazing. Without ever sitting atop a horse, you can experience the next best thing — from the comfort of your couch, no less! This incredible footage truly makes you feel like you’re riding right along, leaping over the hurdles, charging through the water, and dashing across the green field. A few moments were so “real” they nearly took my breath away!
But horseback riding is not without danger, as you’ll soon see. It takes a lot of control, confidence, and bravery to guide such a magnificent animal. The shock in this footage is brief, but very real. But for most, it seems that the danger of horseback riding does not outweigh their passion for it. Nothing wonderful is without risk, right?

If you believe in the credo “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,” then the woman in this next video should be extremely flattered.
With her adorable boxer by her side, the woman looks ahead at the camera and quickly sticks out her tongue before it retracts into her mouth. Surprisingly, the boxer decides to do the exact same thing.
Is this just a fluke, or is her boxer actually imitating her?
So the woman decides to stick out her tongue again. The boxer does the exact same thing.
Again? Same response! It’s amazing.
At one point, in utter disbelief, she actually turns to the side, laughs, and mumbles, “What are you doing?” to her pooch. Ha!
Back to sticking out her tongue, the dog continues to repeat her every movement. It’s totally adorable and really funny.
Now, I have to assume she has the front-facing camera on so that she and the dog can see themselves (like a mirror) so the dog knows exactly what she’s doing, but this is still pretty astonishing.
That is one clever doggy, which makes for a very fun video.
Despite the old adage of “fighting like cats and dogs,” many dogs learn to live peacefully with cats. The following video is further proof that inter-species friendships are just the best.
One family adopted three baby kittens and were a little nervous about introducing them to the older dog, as he’d been the only pet in the house. Well, it’s safe to say, this pup is so happy to have some new pals.
In the video, their owner found the pets all sleeping on the couch, hilariously lounging on their backs. The kittens followed after the dog and mimicked his pose. How funny! This patient pup is so calm around the new kittens. He lets them snuggle up and stay warm. He barely even moves — looking more like a stuffed animal than a real dog.
Watching these pets get along melts my heart. I seriously can’t help but smile for the entire two-minute clip. I just want to snuggle and cuddle with these adorable babies. They must all be so grateful for all the fun they’re having in their new home. How precious are these fur balls?!
We’ve all probably seen videos of mama birds feeding their young. From the filmstrips and movies we watched in science class as kids to documentaries and nature shows, everyone has a pretty good understanding of how baby birds get their nourishment. But I’m here to tell you that you have never seen a mother bird feeding her baby like this before.
In this short clip from the film Secret Life of Trees, by nature filmmakers Saturnina and Artur Homan, you will see the most beautiful, mesmerizing moment between a mother hoopoe and its hungry baby. Filmed in super-slow-motion, the mother-baby food exchange becomes one of the most amazing things you’ve ever seen.
If you’re unfamiliar with the hoopoe, it’s an absolutely beautiful bird. Colorful (the hoopoes in this video are orange-brown with black stripes) and graceful with a spiky crown of feathers atop their heads, the hoopoe is found throughout Africa, Europe, and Asia. In fact, the hoopoe is actually the national bird of Israel, and it’s just an amazingly cool species.
Homan’s astonishing video gives us several different angles that show the mother hoopoe swooping in with what appears to be a grasshopper in her beak. Slowing down her flight, she sticks the grasshopper right into her baby’s beak before it’s quickly gobbled up as nourishment for its growing hoopoe body.
The slow motion aspect is what really turns this video into something special. Just being able to see the hoopoe’s flight in that kind of detail, as it whips its wings back and forth, all while keeping its head perfectly still, is something I’ve never seen before. It’s just breathtaking.
What an amazing thing to share between mother and baby, and what a cool way to see it all happen.
It’s hard to imagine that anyone would want to hurt an innocent baby seal, but this is the sad reality for these adorable, lovable ocean animals.
This is exactly why my heart broke when I heard about Bryce, a seal pup found off the coast of Howard, AK. When the tiny harbor seal was reported to the Alaska SeaLife Center, he was scared and alone. While no baby animal should go through this horror, Bryce was especially brave, as it was determined by veterinarians that the pup was blind.
Bryce’s rescuers realized he went blind from a strike to the head when he was just a newborn. Now, Bryce is about eight months old and learning to understand the world and work with his handlers through his sense of sound.
Once Bryce is strong enough, he will be placed in a permanent home with full-time care for his special needs.
Even though this poor baby had a rough start in life, it’s so amazing to see how far this survivor has come!
Please check out Bryce’s video below and SHARE his story with friends!!
Zookeeper Kevin Richardson has lived, fed, and slept with lions while caring for them at the zoo. He feels an incredible bond with the lions, and the trust they show in him is inconceivable. This self taught “Lion Whisperer” proves his wonderful relationship with this lioness and her cubs in this beautiful video.
If you’ve seen a picture of a giant panda or watched a giant baby panda do…well, anything, you know they’re pretty darn cute. But, here’s the thing – there’s a cute panda that’s been crawling under the radar for far too long. The red panda. Not convinced of their adorableness? That’s why we’re here. Watch the video below and just try to tell us we’re wrong (we dare you)!
Bah! They’re so adorable! They crawl all over people – I wish I had a panda to cuddle with 24/7. Don’t get me wrong, I still love giant pandas as much as the next girl, but these little red guys have scurried their way right into my heart.
The zoo is a great place to bring your little ones for a day of learning and adorableness – what kid doesn’t like seeing all of the cool, giant animals? It’s a foolproof way to make your kid’s day. What’s even better, though, is when the animals are just as interested in us as we are them. That’s exactly what happened when this tiny toddler caught the attention of this very intrigued lioness at the Texas Zoo.
The jury is still out as to whether or not this big cat is trying to play with the little boy, or if she thinks he’s a yummy piece of steak. Either way, this is just too cute. Do you think this little guy will ask for more lion stuffed animals now? One thing’s for sure, he’s walking away from this trip to the zoo with a new friend.
